September Update

I am amazed on how much the Lord has blessed us these few past weeks. A few weeks ago I had to take Brendon to the ER. Scariest thing I had to do my whole life! The day before Brendon got diagnosed with and ear infection. The next day he woke up from his morning nap and I noticed he was breathing really hard and fast. It reminded me of what happens to me when I have an asthma attack. So naturally I call my mom freaking out. She pointed out that he was really congested and that he just woke up. So after talking with her I still had this sick to my stomach feeling, I knew something was not right. So I call the Nurse Practitioner that I work with.  She asked me to count his breaths, 65 breaths per minute! She told me that I need to go to the ER ASAP. Once I heard that, I broke down into tears. I had to take my baby to the hospital. Once we got there he started to breath harder and faster. They took his blood pressure and his oxygen saturation and he was fine. By the time they got us in a room (3 minutes later) they hooked him up to one of those machines and tell you his oxygen level and what not. His oxygen saturation dropped to 88! Normal is 92-97. They gave him oxygen, took chest x-rays, took his blood and gave him a breathing treatment. The Dr. came back saying that he had Bronchiolitis and that time his oxygen levels were at 90. The Dr. gave me the option of going home or get him admitted. I got a really strong feeling to admit him. So they called an ambulance to transfer us to the Cardon's Children Hosptial. Good thing I made that decision because his oxygen level dropped again to 88. Seeing my baby on that gurney killed me! I wanted to break down into tears but I knew I had to be strong for Bren. Once we got into the children's hosptial, I felt at peace. Which was weird cause he was not better at the time. They gave him more breathing treatments, sucked all of the mucus in his nose and even stuck tubes up his nose and down his throat to get all of the mucus. And started getting better fast. At that point I REALLY started stressing about the hospital bills. We have a $10,000 deductible. I was actually on planning and paying about 8-10 thousand for all of this. Well, over the weekend we got the ER bill. I don't know why or how, but we only owe them $600. For some odd reason, the insurance paid over $3000. Its amazing how much the Lord is looking out for us.

Mike and I are taking temple prep classes so that we can be sealed in the temple. I am hoping that we will be able to do it in the Gilbert temple since I was raised in Gilbert. And its amazing how Heavenly Father has already blessed us by us taking the steps to do what he wants us to do.

MELALUCA!! I just have to tell you! I got my order yesterday. Its AMAZING! Its cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, shampoo, lotion and so much more that is made without chemicals. Their cleaning supplies actually do not have child proof caps on them! Have not tried everything yet, but what I got was the laundry detergent and some lotion. I got the lotion because Bren has really rough skin that has bumps on them, and I put that lotion on last night. I can already feel a difference! Also, I got the laundry detergent because Brendon has very sensitive skin. With this, my clothes actually feel clean and not just a film of soap on them. Best of all, its cheaper then Tide at the store! Anyways, if you have more questions about the products let me know and I can help you get started!

In three weeks we go to Disneyland!! It will be a whole family vacation and I could not be more excited! I cannot wait to take Brendon on the rides and see all of the Disney characters! He already gets so excited when he sees a picture of Mickey Mouse.

Brendon is getting to be such a big boy! He loves to help me clean. Sometimes even gets mad if I do not let him do it himself. He loves airplanes and big semi trucks. Whenever he sees Ah-ma's house (grandma) he gets very excited! Brendon loves to sing and dance with me in the car, loves being outside, and loves to look and touch flowers. He always wants to be independent, I like it but don't at the same time. My baby is growing up.

July!

Brendon has hit his "terrible two" stage. BIG TIME! He has already become a Mr. Bossy Pants. Here is proof. He was screaming to make everyone stop saying yea! (we were watching the baseball game)

We have had a busy July so far. We went to a party for the fourth of July in downtown Mesa. We saw a lot of cool classic cars, cool firetrucks, and tanks. Brendon's favorite part was a firefighter giving him a cool hat!

On the fourth of July, we went to the zoo even though it was raining. We love the zoo! We were soaked afterwards, but it was worth it. Love Brendon's cheesy smile! :)

After the zoo we went over to Uncle Matt and Aunt Kristin's neighbors house for fireworks. At the beginning he did mind it too much. He just watched quietly with eyes wide open. Things got a little chaotic with some irresponsible kids and too many fireworks were happening at once and then there were some loud ones. Well lets just say that there was a lot of crying after that.

Mike is starting to look for another job so that I can be a stay at home mom in about a year or so. I will still continue to work to help pay off school loans and put money to savings. I have never been a religious person, but more then ever I feel peace that Mike will find the job that he is suppose to have when we are suppose to get it. So far he has taken amazing care of us. We have been so blessed to have the family that we have, a roof over our head, food in our stomachs, a car to drive, and of course our health. I am truly grateful for our wonderful life that we have. Trials and all.

15 Month Update

Brendon will be 15 months on the 20th. He has started to mimic what everyone does. It is pretty cute. He likes to "cough" while covering his mouth, scream when other people scream, LOVES playing with pillows on the floor and loves to swim. Brendon also loves to help me sweep, mop, dust, and put clothes in the dyer. Brendon loves anything chicken and his favorite fruit are peaches and pears.

Brendon loves talking on the phone with Grandma and Grandpa Wilde. Brendon is now in Day Care once a week and he loves it! He loves playing with other kids and doing all of the crafts.

We had to part with the Jeep. It was a a bitter sweet moment. That jeep will always have a place in my heart, after all that is where my little boy was born. But with our new car its nice not having to worry about breaking down while I have Brendon in the car plus, the better gas mileage is so much better!

1!

Brendon turned one! We went to the zoo the weekend before, even though it rained the whole time it was so much fun. We did cake and presents the night of his birthday, he loved opening his presents and having all of the attention. He really loved his cake! However he was not too sure about singing lol

Last week Bren had hives. That poor kid, his whole body was covered and his face was so swollen. His doctor said that it is a good chance its his antibiotic that he is allergic to. He was still is happy self, he was such a big boy! He is walking so well! He is walking more then crawling now- its so weird to see him walk instead of crawl. He is becoming a master at the tantrums, makes me nervous for what is up ahead. If he is anything like me I am VERY nervous. Overall he is such a good boy. He is starting to get over his stranger danger. He now will wave and smile at them but that is pretty much all he will do. Progress is progress. Brendon LOVES giving kisses. Sometimes he will get too excited and bite my cheek. Those kisses are the best kisses ever and they melt my heart every time.

I could not be happier with my little family! :)

11 Month Update

I know I have not been updating lately. I have no internet at my home and have to wait until we go over to my Mom's. Brendon is 11 months, he will be 1 on the 20th. I can't believe how fast time has flown by. He has such a personality already. He has Mike and I's stubbornness. He is way too smart for his own good already. He loves to dance to any type of music and he has learned to clap his hands. Bren loves to analyze everything. He tries to figure out how his toy works, whatever he has in his hands including food, he stares and stares at it, and I can just see the wheels spin in his head. He can walk, however he doesn't like to. For some reason he is deathly afraid of falling. I have to admit that I miss those days of him being so small, cuddly and not moving. Haha, rather then just laying him down while I go to the bathroom, and go in peace. Now I have to listen to him scream bloody murder while I pee as quickly as I can. Ahhh those were the days. Don't get me wrong, I love all of the fun new things he is doing. He can eat as much as I can! He loves anything that he can eat.

Work is going good for both of us. I am changing positions at my current job so I have had all week last week off and all week this week off. Its been great spending all of this time with Brendon.

Brendon's new favorite toy.
